Does anyone know of any countries or legitimate companies that hire English teachers with a TEFL certificate, but without a BA/BS. Additionally, can anyone recommend a legitimate TEFL certification program at a reasonably fair rate. I'm going to Thailand in January and am considering just staying in Southeast Asia for 6 months to a year if I can find a teaching job without a degree... I want to get certified online, but I don't know if I trust all the ads. I've taught dance for many years and have taught myslef three foreign languages... I'm hoping that will count for something on my resume... any advice?????

Re: tefl certficate
Mon, December 5, 2005 - 9:55 PMI just got my tefl from ITTT and I was inpressed by the content, plus they offer help getting jobs once you have the cert. I recommend them!
I found this on dave's esl:
I found this on one listing: "Qualifications:Native
speakers of English with a minimum of six-month
ESL/TEFL teaching experience preferred. We require
that candidates have a college or university
diploma/degree and/ or ESL/TEFL/TESOL diploma or
certificate. For more specific information, please
