CELTA vs. non-CELTA

topic posted Mon, November 19, 2007 - 1:22 PM by  Ché
this is sort of a continuation of my TEFOL post.

Now i'm wondering whether i should get a certification that is not a CELTA. I read somewhere that european countries prefer it. Anyone have any ups on this? Thanx

An excellent place to go to hear about the experiences of many travelers is www.lonelyplanet.com. Select 'Thorn Tree Forum' from the home page and do a CELTA search in there. You can also get a sense of requirements country by country.

From what I've looked into so far, CELTA certified teachers make much better money.
