i am searching for information out there to begin the process of exchanging my residence for a residence abroad. any ideas where to begin? is this a feasible venture?
all information will be helpful. i am a designer/performer.

Yes it's feasable. Start out with an idea of where. Read, go visit. Meet people. Make connections. Check out travelociy dream maps. Whenever I have a slow spot in the work life, I check out the current low fare and often take off several days later. -

i just wanted to thank you for the responses and i will be checking into berlin, germany.
i live in chicago (yes, the city). i have a 700sf apartment on the northside. one giant room.
craigslist and couchsurfing are definite pluses for making connections.
a women from world exchange has information on the programs i was looking for.
this was great and my first trip abroad besides lots of u.s. and canada.
sweet travels everyone. i will be tuning in.
