In Latin America, hundreds of thousands of young people desperate to learn ESL, along with basic computer and people skills, many of the public and private institutions now pretending to teach "English" are filled with native teachers who are far from qualified to teach the basics and schools often take student's money for onthe using "gimmicks" and relying on grammar exercises and workbooks. The pay is low by North American standards and hours are usually staggered since students often work or study at university or colegios (high schools) by day. Seeking highly motivated "freelancers" with or without "TOEFL" or "Certification", English native speakers, proactive interested in setting up their OWN institutes and making a good profit while offering the best services around..a challange if you're willing to accept it..but not "Mission Impossible"

Sun, June 26, 2005 - 9:48 AMDear Lilac and All: Estimada Lilac y todos...
You are able to teach in English at one of the accredited North American certified schools such as The International School of El Salvador, The American School of El Salvador, The bi-lingual Pan American School in El Salvador or the Mayan School in Guatemala (English accredited in USA 12 years), you require only a BA degree and accredtion to teach in hme state, province or territory such as Puerto Rico, The British School in El Salvador prefers to hire UK and Commonwealthe citizens. For tri lingual Germans exist the Deutsche Schule, Colegio Agosto Walte in El Salvador and several pther private high schools in El Salvador and Guatemala, best do your own Google Search on www.google.com.sv (El Salvador) and www.google.com.gt (Guatemala) for foreign hire salary usually in the $600+ a month range, with free housing and partial board provided plus RT ticket to and from States..apply now for term beginning late August 2005.
For those not loaded down with BAs MAs TOEFL certificatiion etc. we are seeking 1 or 2 good people with an entrepreneurial spirit and I mean "spirit" to set up their own Academy here in the region, requires a small investment and lot of spunk! Our organization The Polyglots, a worldwide organization of language teachers, translators, interpreters and business-tourist guides, consultants and web designers along with others who make their living partially or in full from languages, will back you up locally 100%, We shall neither wish to teach in your school, however we can assist with course materials and language learning programs from A to Z. Review and study our site very carefully for any type program you are interested in, not only in Central America, but in practically any non-English speaking country or region in the world where there is a need for excellent ESL programs. URL: www.thepolyglots.com/
